(1) For freedom Messiah has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not again be subject to a yoke of slavery. (2) Behold, I Paul am saying to you that if you become circumcised, Messiah will aid you nothing. (3) I testify again to all men being circumcised that one is obligated to observe the whole Law. (4) You have become estranged from Messiah (you who are seeking to be justified by the Law); you have fallen away from Grace. (5) For we are (through the Spirit by faith) eagerly awaiting a hope of righteousness. (6) For in Messiah Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is strong enough, but faith working through love is. (7) You were running well. Who thwarted you, persuading you away from the truth? (8) This persuasion is not from the one who is calling you. (9) A little leaven leavens the whole batch. (10) I am confident in the Lord that you will not think something different, but the one distressing you will be taken away to judgment--whoever it may be. (11) But if I am still preaching circumcision, brothers, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross would be made ineffective. (12) I wish those who are disturbing you would castrate themselves! (13) For to freedom you were called, brothers. Only not freedom for an opportunity in the flesh, but serving one another through love. (14) For the entire Law is fulfilled in one saying: "Love those around you as yourself." (15) But if you are biting and devouring one another, watch out, lest you be consumed by one another! (16) Rather I say, walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (17) For the flesh craves for that which is against the Spirit, and vice versa. For these oppose each other, so you cannot do the things you wish. (18) If you are led by the Spirit you are not under law. (19) It is evident, the works of the flesh, the likes of which includes illicit sexual activity, impurity, licentiousness, (20) idolatry, magical arts, hostilities, discord, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissension, cliques, (21) envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I warn you, just as I did before: those who are practicing such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patient endurance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) meekness and self-control; against these, there is no law. (24) Those who are in Messiah Jesus have crucified the flesh on the cross with their passions and lusts. (25) If we are living in the Spirit, let us behave in accordance with the Spirit, (26) lest we become conceited, provoking each other, envying one another.
